I'm thinking of using one on my YJ so I can use a D300 and not have to flip it. THANK! :D

at least youre lookig at doing it the most logical way. i just think its abusrd to go thru the time and effort to run a transfer case upside down to avoid swpping an axle, specially in somethin easy like a leaf sprung yj.id much rather spend the $700 a flip kit costs on an axle swap.

when looking for donors, look for a "narrow trac". i.e.,no fender flairs.any 4 door will be NT. the NT axles are very close to yj width. have known lotsa people to swap em into yjs. the perch is within 1/4 inch of being in the right spot(spring will deflect that much) your only prollem then is making it 5 on 4.5 if you have to keep whateer wheels your running. if it were me,id leave it 6 lug, and match the rear with an 86 or newer FSJ rear 44,or an 80 to 85 amc 20(wich have 1 piece axles from the factory in an FSJ,as well as a slightly beefier housing  ) you can then use very common 1/2 ton chevy/jeep rotors and hubs with internal lockouts,as well as very common chevy wheels.

are you gonna leave it sprung under?

good luck with your project, let us know if we can be of furhter FSJ assistance.
