Hey Guys, does anyone have any experience with fixing a VERY LOOSE steering colum from the tilt lever? I read the article that someone had written about tightening up the colum on a 78', has anyone done one on anything newer? I have an 88'GW and it's driving me nuts! I just broke out the Credit Card and decided to fix everything and this is top on my list! I ordered a new 360 Long Block, Edelbrock intake and 1406 Carb, Edelbrock Rolling Timing Chain, Rusty's 4" Lift with 4 springs, new rims and new 31's to top it off! Whew, god did I just spend all that money??? Looking at it all together adds up! Oh well I love my baby! So anyway I'm sure I will be asking plenty of questions in the near future! Thanks in advance!

It should be more-or-less the same procedure. You'll have an additional stalk to deal with (wiper/cruise/dimmer), but it's still a GM Saginaw-based steering column.

Welcome aboard Capt.

This subject has been discussed ad naseum. If you do a search as well as check out the Tech library off the home page you'll find alot of info and a good writeup.
Good luck 'cause it's a royal PITA. No overly hard just alot of little parts to deal with.
