I'm helping sell a 1975 Cherokee that's been stored in one of my barns for the last ten years. I need some advice on how best to determine its value.
It's at the garage now being gone over to see whats needed. I moved it 4 years ago and it started up. All stock, everything is there and pretty solid. Perforated rust on the fenders and frame and engine have rust. I got one offer for $1500 as is. I'm told these full size two doors are hard to find. Any help would be appreciated.

No, they are not hard to find at all, in a similar condition as yours. If yours had no rot, then it might be considered a little hard to find.
I would suggest you grab that $1500 offer before it gets away from you. Cherokees in running condition, with rot, and in need of restoration, can easily be bought for around $1000, sometimes less.
Good luck with your sale.

Thanks for the reply! I wonder if because we spread salt all over the roads 4 months out of the year here in Michigan makes them any harder to find in this neck of the woods?

Finding nice ones are hard. Finding rusting chassis are easy.
One thing that could make it worth something is if it is a Z code Cherokee. That means it would have the 401cu.in. motor in it from the factory.
Check the VIN and then if it is a Z check the motor itself under the engine mount area it is cast into the block. It will have the 401 or 360 if it is a V 8.

If it has a pristine interior in it it would be desirable. Check the selling prices on these things before you go dumping money in expecting to get a return. There are a bunch of Cherokees for sale right now. 2 grand can get you a sweet ride.

These Cherokees have disappeared completely from Michigan roads. If you do find one that is in decent shape, you know it was imported from some place else like TX, AZ, CA, etc. Mine is from CA. We are FSJ deprived here, my friends. I would say you could easily get more than $1500. But post a few pics here and we'll have a look.

I agree - they're not easy to find here in Michigan. In Texas and other dry/salt free climates yes, but not here.

If you can post some pics we can help you with a value. $1500 does sound like a fair price based solely on your description.
