Replacement pump gear set - gears,by-pass piston, spring, gasket - are readily available around here; About $14 as I recall at Advance Auto or Autozone. But if you're looking for a complete pump, the pump housing is the timing cover, with a separate cover on the pump.

Well after my problems, which im sure are oil related, I think I want to replace the whole **** thing. Yea, I just took it off and now remember how it is all one piece. So who sells the timing cover the cheapest?

Cheapest is about 250 bucks. And if the cover was badly worn you would have zero oil pressure, not to much. I am thinking maybe your relief valve was stuck shut, so the oil pressure just went super high, either that your pressure guage is wrong. And you really had no oil pressure, which can be caused by a bad cover.

Im leaning to it being stuck and it screwed some of the lifters up, but that still doesn't explain why it's not moving any oil now? Well, Im so sick of this shiet, that Im gonna replace everything. So where to get the whole timing cover and oil pump internals? Thanks< dennis

Get it all new ! I fought with mine for a month and went through 2 sets of bearings. I put in a new kit and the new pin didn't work with the worn out relief bore. I had no pressure for 30 seconds everytime I started it up.

Btw, did you check to make sure that on the new gears, that the oil-passage hole in the gear (it's about the size of a pencil diameter) was cleared? Many of the castings block that hole, and it has to be drilled / filed out, so that oil will pass through the engine properly. Search the Gen. Tech forum and you can find more info.
