I am interested in installing a 3-4" lift on my 1990 GW. I am looking at Rusty's, Superlift and SkyJacker systems. Does anyone have any suggestions? What type of modifications (transfer case mount/ brake lines etc) are required? I am looking to keep a smooth ride. What size tires will fit without rubbing during articulation on the stock wheels?
Please advise
Thanks

Go with Rusty's. Cheaper price than the others, and it rides great in the city, highway, and offroad. For mods, I would recommend getting the dropped pitman arm for steering purposes for about $85. Not necessary with a 4" lift, but it definitely helps. As for articulation, make sure that you get a decent set of sway-bar quick disconnects (allows wheels to touch the ground rather than having one up in the air) for about $60. As for tires, I would go with 31x10.5's. They ride great, stuff under the wheel wells without problems, and they look proportional to the rig. Just my $.02

I need to do the sway bar disconnects... but who makes them?
