Hello all. I am excited to say i purchased my first Jeep. I picked up an 89 Grand Wagoneer. It currently has a spring over axle lift and tractor tires on it. I have a trip planned to silver lake all next week to go camping and testing out the new truck.
Anyways I am in need because I'm looking for a few parts i need before I go up.
I am from Holland, MI so if anyone has a part out please let me know.

If not, I am in need of:
Track Bar
Sway Bars
Rear and/or front Shackles
drivers side door latch(Not as important)
passenger side blue rear door(Not as important)

I may need more, ill have to ask my buddy but does anyone around here have this? Its crunch time to get my new jeep ready!

Sorry I didnt say much or past anything on the new rig. I will do this soon, but as of right now i am in a hurry to get this thing going.
Also, do you guys think these tractor tires would perform ok in the dunes? I would have to guess there about 40" tires.
I am planning on posting them up for sale/trade for some 35", but i need to get some pictures.
Thanks!

Welcome from another Michigander! I'm about an hour and a half from you in Charlotte.

I don't know how well tractor tires will do at the dunes. If they're failry narrow with tractor style tread they'll do a great job of "digging" and that's not what you'll want in the sand! Digging = stuck!

Welcome from Ann Arbor! I agree, tractor tires will probably not fare well at Silver Lake. Good luck with the project!

Welcome from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
I also agree...that tractor tires may not do well at Silver Lake in a loose sand.
Sounds like a great mud bog'n rig!

Welcome!
Not from your area but per my research you can scratch track bar off your list when I put the 4" lift on my 87 rusty's said to just remove the track bar. Everything before, I believe, 86 didn't have a track bar and that is the only difference in the suspension. At least thats how i understand it and would welcome anyone to correct me.

Correct on leaving the track-bar off. It was a Mopar-added item, when Chrysler bought AMC/Jeep. It helps a bit with towing, but it's not necessary.

:bluelaugh: I don't believe that he needs parts anymore. This thread is almost a year old now and I believe he has either sold it or it is for sale on CL here in Holland.
