For those of you who didn't know, Kia has been pumping them out under license for decades. Now with diesel powerplants and fenders that look strangely wide-track ish to me. Check it out.

Yeah, it's kind of cool that there is something like an M715 still around, but I HATE Kia/Hyundai.

I'm not a fan of Kia or Hyundai either but sadly everyone I know that has one loves them and they seem to be pretty much problem free.

Yeah the S. Korean auto manufactures did what the Japanese auto manufactures did, but in half the time. I remember the early Hyundia's and the current ones are nothing like them. The local Benz dealer uses the top end Hyundia sedan as their loner car, and get positive feedback on them. I got to drive one of the new Genesis Coupes when they came out and I was impressed. They're nothing like the old slow, pour braking/handling Tiburons were. Now they just need to offer them with the sedan's V-8.

As far as I know there's no easy way to import them. Probably not cheap. You'd have to contact kia, heres more info and specs from there sight:
http://military.kiamotors.com/KM45/Km450.html It might be made by kia, but underneath it all, its still an fsj. As for everyones opinions on kia, I know alot of people who have had mixed experiances with them but the general consensus is that in the past 5-10 years they have really stepped up quality control and now there pretty much on par with honda and toyota quality for bargain prices. I can understating hating Kia for what it *used* to be, but they really are churning out some good cars these days.

I like to see my co-workers that have these try to bust my chops about replacing parts on my 34 year old truck that I pulled out of someone's woods.
The best part is that I'm replacing parts that are about 20-30 years old and their KIA/Hyundai needs parts replaced after 2+ years.
Also, if you jump up onto any part of the front end (from experience), they dent like tin foil.
I hope these new KIA m715's aren't made by the same KIA that makes those plastic disposable cars.

I sent the sales department an email to see whether they would sell to the general public and if so what the pricing might be as well as the possibility of importing to the US.
I'll be surprised if I hear back.

Sadly the same can be said of just about any new car. I have seen a hood on a focus crumple from someone sitting on the side of it. I hear most new chevys and chryslers (from experience) are about the same. Fact is any new car, domestic or import are built of plastic, Honestly if i was to buy a new car I needed to be sturdy I'd either have to order a special order a fleet crown vic from ford. But seriously, I'd just buy a new Silverado anyway, so moot point.

AEV needs to sell that kit. The front clip is a bolt on to any JK. BUT, the bed needs to be seperate from the body. No Avalanche copying here please.

Most auto manufactures are using thinner metal on the hoods - its saves front end weight, and reduces cost. I have yet to see a car with a plastic hood.

I haven't seen plastic yet, but aluminum and fiberglass are all the rage.
