I've about got my Wag ready to paint (de-wooded, body work done, etc) and I'm debating on the type of paint I want. It's got to be a low budget thing...I'm debating between Durabak, O.D. green military paint, or tractor enamel. I leaning towards Durabak...even though it's more $, it's more durable and easier to apply.

Rustoleum in the quart cans sprayed on with a Wagner Power Painter. Its really cheap and works well if you practice with the paint volume low and a wide spray. Mine has held up all winter in the snow and salt and is still shiny plus if it starts to look bad it only costs $20 to do it again. :D

D-Bum. I'm going to give the rustoleum a try. I think I'm going to mix 50/50 of the green with the black to get a nice dark green. Cheap and easy.

Also underneath on the rockers and inner fender wells get some por-15 or like to prevent rust in those areas.

I was originally going to paint my truck O.D. and bought a few gallons of paint from the local Army/Navy surplus. This stuff is some tough $hit!. I painted my front inner fender wells with the stuff and then black rustoleum over the top. A few times i spilled brake fluid on the inners- rustoleum bubbled off, O.D. paint didn't budge. I think I paid about $18/gallon a few years back.

Paint it black and put the wood back on. But do it in reverse, put wood all over the truck except in the middle, paint it black.
That'd be cool!
How many of you have ordered paint from this place? I need to paint the whole beast this summer and am looking for options also. Paint from the autobody paint shop is sooooo expensive.

Kidatforty- sounds cool. I am going to be painting my Commando soon and will either go for Rustoleum Hunter Green or some mix of colors to get a darker shade.
