View Full Version : choke not closing
i was wondering why my choke is not closed when i look at it in the morning? it is fully open, i thought it was supposed to shut all the way. the motor runs fine but i have a hard time starting if she has sat for a while or overnight. where do i adjust it on the carb? thanks

To adjust to close when cold there are (hopefully) three screws that hold the bimetal choke spring housing. It is that black plastic cylinder on the side of the carb. Loosen the screws and while holding the throttle off idle turn the housing until the choke just closes. Tighten the screws and test it out making sure it opens all the way when warmed up.
