This is the 360 I pulled from Red, my 75 Wagoneer that apparently sat for many, many years. It has been bored .040" over but the maximum out of round is .002" and the maximum taper is .002". I guess the previous owner had it rebuilt but didn't put a lot of miles on it.
Per the Factory Service Manual
Max. Taper = .005"
Max. Round = .003"
My current plan is to hone the cylinders, fit new rings and bearings, lap the valves and replace the seals. Although I need a cam and lifters, I have a new distributor, wires, plugs, TFI coil, Holley carb and manifold.
I think I'll have the Cherokee on the road sooner than expected.
