Anyone have any tips of for adjusting the choke on a Motorcraft 4350? My carb runs well, but it always wants to go to high idle. I can shift into nuetral, kick it down to low idle, but after I put the trans in drive, the choke goes back to high idle. It does this regardless of whether the engine is hot or cold. Its like the choke never warms up. I ran a pipe cleaner down the hot air tube and it seems to be clear. I've set the high idle at 1000 rpm, (as low as it will go) and the slow idle at 600 rpm. As a temporary work around, I shift the TH400 into nuetral at every light and kick the choke down to low idle. I live in So. Cal, so I don't really need a choke, howvever, if possible I would like to fix this problem. Any advice will be appreciated. Also, does anyone know what the rectangular thing on the hot air tube is supposed to do?
