Hey SW FSJers, I was recently told by another member our your way that in order to get base stickers I need to have my Jeep smogged...Im really hoping not as Im from Illinois and my Jeep is registered there (and will stay that way) and we dont test on anything older than '95 there so needless to say my Jeep is sans ANY emmissions equipment so there is NO way in HELL it would ever pass any smog test, let alone Cali's retarded requirements. Please tell me it isnt so...:(
Pretty sure this is where you are headed Jon.

Towards the bottom:
Automobile Decals and Passes:
Permanent vehicle stickers are issued by the security department located in Building 565. Persons applying for a sticker for motorcycles must have a motorcycle safety course completion card or certificate. Regular access to the base requires a base sticker. When applying for your sticker, bring your driver’s license, auto registration, proof of insurance, and military identification card. Temporary and visitor passes are also issued by the security department.
Hope that helps.

When I was in the plates/vehicle stayed registered to your state. Had a pretty beefed up camaro in Cali and didn't smog it for the 4 years I was there. That might have changed, good luck

My father-in-law was naval in San diego for almost 10 years with his chevy registered in virginia. Just paid registration to virginia and no smog here in california.
