O.K., I'm sure this has been covered, but I have a ? concerning add a leafs. Can you put more than one set on a GW? For ex. install two 2" add a leaf kits to attain 4"? Is that practical? I don't want to spend $600-$1000 to lift my Jeep. It's not a daily driver, I only need enough lift to fit 33" tires. My buddy says he'll do an SOA conv. for a barter deal, so the price is sweet there. My concern with the SOA is that it'll handle like crap afterwards. How should a 87GW with just the soa handle? I really don't want to cut the fenders and I don't have a heck of a lot of money to throw in there. Please advise.

Do the SOA.. your ride will not change cuz your keeping the same springs... the ride will be alot stiffer with AAL's... and DON'T STACK AAL's... it'll ride like a brick... that's if you can get it remounted afterwards.

Set the perches parallel to the OEM perches and run them 33's!!!!

Only thing needed with the SOA is new U-bolts and perches, ext brakelines, new shocks and advise on a new stabilizer as well as a 4" DPA to correct some the the bump steer...

Then to get the rear level... you can order one of my Rear Shackle Inversion Kits!!! :D

GO FOR IT!!!

This is only my opinion and what I plan to practice.

It is my belief that the right way to do a 4" lift is to do a full set of new springs all the way around.

Rusty's has a good kit available (from what I have heard) and you can even get it at a discount from

www.BJSOFFROAD.com (http://www.BJSOFFROAD.com)

You will spend about $500 or a little more including shipping but you will probably be happy with the results. If you're like me and plan to own your FSJ for a very long time, then the extra wait you will have to endure to save the extra money will be worth it.

There are other options to gain your lift (as others will probably state) but this is the one I feel is the best and sefest.

Thanks guys. I'll go with the SOA. It's only a Huntin'/campin' Jeep, and all I gotta pay for is parts! Well I also have to do major reconstructive pruning on his trees that got torn up in a tornado a couple years back. But, thats my bag, so it's all good as they say!
Thanks again guys!
