The 87 Ive been pulling parts off of has a shift lever just as my QT with low range has. Did any of the other t cases have this type shift lever?

I'ld look under it, but it's settin' right down on the ground. No front hubs or rear axle. I'm wonderin' if someone didn't swap the trans and transfer.

The newer FSJs with New Process transfer cases (208, 219, 228, 229) also use a flag shifter similar to the QT but have different shift patterns depending on the NP unit. It is not the same mechanism as used with the Borg Warner QuadraTrac and are not compatible. An 87 would have an NP229 from the factory.

If you need a QT shift lever I probably have one...

Thanks for the offer BW, but mine is fine. Just doin' my thing scrounging QuadraTrac parts. I was hoping the 1339 was the only one with that type lever.

BW QT would be a tough swap in an 80 up rig. Front differential is on the wrong side, it'd need a front axle swap too.
