It needs some love, but at least it is emissions exempt. Thanks again Jeff!

Wow! Looks great! I really want a Chief like yours!
Is there one of those mythical 401 creatures hiding under the hood?

No, it just has the 195 hp 360 in it. It has a MSD ignition and Headman Headers installed. It is suspected that it might have a cam also, but dunno.
I'm guessing there are no problems with the Quadratrac (with 4 Lo) because I can drive it. LOL! It does has a small leak, so I guess I'll have to see if I can source the fluid locally or if I'm gonna have to order some from BJ's. One of the PO was going to do a 16% conversion to it, but had only gotten as far as installing locking hubs from what I was told.
The flairs, from what I was told, were hacked because they were rust. The rig is originally from Oregon (Jeff had some of the original docs like owner's manual, the owner's manual highlights page, and warranty info). I need to cut the remaining flair off, patch the gaping hole created by the flair removals though. I just don't want to butcher the other side like I did my XJ when I trimmed it.
I love the interior (well, what's left of it). The dash has no cracks in it (bonus!!). There's no headliner or carpet. There is a small rust hole in the pass. floor board. I guess I'll just patch that. Clean up as much of the remaining rust as possible and put in bed liner. I'm afraid to think about how hard it is going to be to find front seats that are in good shape and match. I might just pull the ones that are in there out and put in some high back buckets though.
The luggage rack has been partially removed, and the holes have not been filled, so I get to do that too. I'll probably just silicone them until I can find the time to fiberglass over them.
The pain is rattle canned over silver.
ETA: OHHHH...and the rear, electric window actually works! (well, sorta, from inside, not from the gate).
Thanks!

What'd they call that Cherokee option "Custers' Last Stand"? Looks like ya been hauling some serious bleeders in it. ;)

Thats my old 78, youll be happy with it. It has A LOT of love from the Carolina Full Size Jeep Club too. Theres also a small hole between the front seats under the armrest (dont ask)...unless its been patched.
Its name is Chief Big Plans, Little Budget unless of course you change it.

Armrest? What armrest? There is no armrest!! LOL!!!!
Yeah, I wondered what that hole was from.
I do like it already. I need to sell my GWag now (I think).

I bought a radio, speakers, and CB for it; now I just need to install them.
There appears to be a short somewhere that drains the battery over night.
It has a ticky lifter.
And, apparently the fuel in bowl evaporates over night because it won't start without being primed.....and I don't mean by pumping the pedal.

That reminds me, under the pass. dash youll see where its wired for an amp and it "had" bose speakers in it at one time...
Battery drain is a new one to me...ticking lifter is new, and fuel evaporation showed up after it sat for about three years I think...god carb rebuild would proably do the trick...and an offroad needle install

Yeah, there are what look like 2 junction boxes under there.
Do you remember what kind of carb it has?
I'm gonna change the nasty, black, thick oil that currently in it and see if that helps. I certainly won't hurt!
