Is $1750 a reasonable price for a dana 60.
It is complete, and came out of a 01 Ford with the powerstroke diesel.
What will the gear ratio be? 4.11?

I don't know about the price, but 01 Ford's used a metric (170mm?) 8 lug pattern that is different from older Fords plus all Dodge and Chevys. Just something to be aware of. Makes getting a matching rear a little more difficult and narrows down the wheel selection. It's still a great axle though the price does seem a little high, but I don't know.

I've seen complete 70's model Fords with front D60's for not much more than $1,750. I'd look for a complete truck with the axle you need and part out the rest...you may just end up with a 'free' axle.
BTW There's a front and rear set of D60's in my area for $1,300 for the pair.

I got my dana 60 completely rebuilt with new brakes out of a chevy for 1100. The guy gave me a hella of a deal but your should be able to find one around 1200.

make sure it's not a dana 50. they're dimensionally identical from the outside

oh, and it will be a metric wheel bolt pattern, the std. 8 lugs wheels won't fit.
