there are a few others that make custom offroad bumpers, do a search on here and you should find some.

In case you want to see what a Killer32 tube bumper looks like. It was basically the only thing available at the time that I could afford (Ramsey bumper was a lot more). Some day I will get something different...

i find it strange this jeep was built for 30 years and no big companies are building bumpers for it. seems like an untapped market. i still haven't found a bumper that i like.
That's part of the problem with finding aftermarket stuff like that. You have to think that only a small percentage of people who own a particular vehicle want to modify it, and only a small percentage of those want to replace a particular part. And then only a small percentage of those want that exact style/color/fit part. So lets say you made the absolute mother of all bad custom bumpers for an FSJ. Could you ever sell 100? And how much would you have to charge to comp costs for a limited run part. Most investors frown on that stuff. Yeah, it'd be awesome to be able to by inexpensive bolt on stuff for our jeeps, but due to the numbers, most of us are stuck just making it ourselves, or modifying something to fit. When I run the world, I'll make sure there are plenty of bolt on accessories for FSJs. Right after I start making all the 60s and 70s muscle cars :)

yeah, i built bumpers for jeep commanders for a time. i did a total of 20 in 1.5 years. i know how it goes. you have about 100 people say they want one really bad, so you invest a few thousand ($8000 in design and tools) and sell them for $1200. i don't miss that business. sit and wait and hope someone buys one. never again for me.

Here is a pic of my Warn Classic winch bumper on my J10. Sure wish they still made these bumpers.
Now that's a bumper I'd like to have - very nice!
Trellis, I dig your wheels. Those just stock 80s alloys with the urine color polished off them? They look really nice

If you can design something, our builder will build it for you. Depending on how intricate, it would probably be just a little more than a Cliffhanger.

This base bumper was built by Ethan Brady. I picked up a brush guard from JC Jones that was on his wife's GW when she had a wreck. The bottom was all bent up. Cut and attached to Ethan bumper. Not fancy but gets the job done. A winch could be adapted to the design but we have one on another Waggy.

Pretty sure this was an over the counter item from the AMC dealer in the 70s. Swapped a nice 3 pc. bumper for it and got the Warn 9000 for it. It appears to be the chromed version of the one jepj2000 posted.

I have spent three winters and about $7000 so far developing an FSJ bumper (threepiece188) and it's still not done yet! I expect to have my first prototype done this winter but I doubt I will actually make any money if you consider the time I have into this. I didn't want to do a variation on a theme weldment like every other aftermarket bumper I have seen, so I decided to form it with press tooling.

Just curious. . .
Assuming I was an expert welder (my brother is) how much would it cost to build one of these bumpers? Would they all require a cover gas?
I would love to have a stout bumper with a full grill gaurd, recovery points, and lights. How much money would I be looking at for the metal? I know there is no way of know exactly but $200 or $800?
My brother owes me for so many things that labor would be free.

The plan is to add a winch plate to the top of the bumper and possibly elongate the mounts down the frame for a little more strength. I might make some center supports for the front crossmember aswell to help spread the load when winching. I'll most likely also add some mounting points for lighting or do a short winch gaurd with tabs for lighting.

It was a big build up I followed on the 4BTSWAPS site. It had a 4 CYL p-pumped Cummins and a NV4500 installed in it. The owner drove it for a little while before someone offered a large sum of money for the motor. He pulled it and sold the truck for $2500. I think a member here bought the shell.

Here's another way to go to integrate a winch. I just finished this up. I built a bolt on receiver hitch behind the bumper and used a removable winch cradle so I can use the winch on other vehicles. I was able to use the factory brush guard with this set up.
