So, In looking at all the different 78's in the Readers Rigs section, I am wondering what the original mirrors were on my truck. I have all kinds of holes, (lower on door, right under corner window, and on trim near the A pillar.) It has a round one on the drivers side only. Any idea? I have seen two different sets on 78's on this site.
Secondly,
What color should I paint her? It is the original brown with badly faded Honcho stickers (found a site that has the full set of stickers for 350, might do that in the future when I do the frame off). I am sanding everything down and doing the body work, holes and such. Any suggestions on color?
Thirdly,
Where can I find replacment markers? What will fit on my 78? I am looking for tails, side markers and the fronts too (ok, everything but the headlights) lol
And, what Roll bar will fit or is there a company that has them available (r anyone with one sitting in a junkyard)
Thanks fellow FSJ-ers!

Bjs offroad has the side marker lights and the front turn signals. The tail lights you will prob have to find some on here or at a junkyard.

For 78 a the regular driver mirror was standard, while the (sometimes non matching) passenger mirror and the dual low profile mirrors were optional.

Good luck on the roll bar.

Not sure about the stock mirrors, I dig the look of the tri-pods. As far as what color to paint? One can't go wrong with Green!

I like the look of these, but you can't beat the visibility of the 'tripods'

Tripods are nice for looks and visibility.
I have a set of the tiny ones on my truck like pictured on the golden eagle above. They are so small I might as well have no mirrors at all.

I love the looks of the low profile mirrors...but I'm too utilitarian to ever mount a set. I'll go with the stainless tripods...still look OK and VERY useable.
