man in the last 2 weeks me and my brother have met 2 new guys in wilmington with there first waggys and both are on to big projects. both are doing motor swaps (or putting one in were there was no) and one is going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive, with a little help from my extra trans and trans case:thumbsup: . i know one has joined this site and have told the other about it( lets see if they will chime in).also i have located a few other jeeps for parts.everyday out here i see a new one, i just love it. now we will have to see if we can get everyone in this area together with our FSJs:fsj: .
Oh ya and thanks guys for coming and getting some of that stuff out my shed and garage. I needed the space back.see ya on the road....................or off it.

Earler Kaiser era FSJ's could be had in 2WD. I only know of one in the US and that's via the internet. Seems to have been more common in South America.

sorry nothing super cool.I believe it was an "89" but not sure, grand waggy he bought with no motor. and i believe it had the trans and drive line set up for 2 wheel drive.so PO must have done this? I could be wrong on the PO or him putting in the trans but i know when he came to get my extra trans and trans case he was driving it and it only had 2 wheel drive but soon he should be able to take it off the road.

I was down there Mothers day weekend, place was jamming with all forms of Jeep.........Running back down this weekend, might hit the south end again. ;)
I saw 3 waggy's in a field beside some business on NC 904 near Pireway, 5-10 miles west of US 17. NC 904 turns rt off US 17 about 6 miles south of Shallote.
I've seen them for at least 3 past summers on my way to Ocean Isle.
Check 'em out, you're closer than I am.

A buddy of mine spotted them a while back and gave me the heads up, gotta make some time to check them out. Hey rod2 I live at Holden just a beach over from Oib, next trip around we should arrange a meet.
A meet and greet for Wilmington area needs to be planned soon. Only a 45 min. Trip with traffic.

I only get to the beach once a year, and I never bring my truck--4.10 gears and no OD; can you imagine?
But I do do ECI. Try to get there if you can.
