I'm going to order some quick disconnects for the front swaybar on my '88 GW - with 3" springs. Couple questions:
1. Will disconnects for a CJ (stated 2"-4" lift) work... 'cause I know that I won't find a listing for my GW
2. Where would you suggest I buy them?
Thanks!!!

I don't know about you, but I'm making my own. (Of course, if you can't make them, then my reply doesn't help!!) smile.gif

Its easy to make them. Just cut one of the arms that connects the bar to the axle in half, find a piece of fairly thick pipe to fit over it nice and snug, put it on there, drill through the pipe and the arm(kinda like a mend), put a thick bolt through the upper(or lower) hole, and put a trailer hitch pin throught the lower(or upper) hole. Then all you have to do is remove the pins when youre ready to go wheelin!
You may have to incorperate an extension for your sway bar amrs into the design, but it works quite well. Anyways, it did on my friend's Chevy.

Swaybars, what are swaybars? Just yank em off and enjoy the body roll. :D
Seriously though the disconnects are easy to make like said above and I would make em a little longer than stock cause of the lift.

Hey manhatten, heres most of the answers to your questions,
http://www.rbk3.com/fsj/swaybar.html
I now have an xtra leaf in my saggin packs, so I'm prolly an inch above stock, Mine are the one for the cjs. its either stock or +2 inches, I cant remember. You will need to get the extended ones, not sure what the part number is tho.
These are the basic ones, my buddy got the "quicker disconnects" they were more money, and (like my name says) I am a cheapGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley. His are easier to dis & re connect than mine.
On time when I 1st put them on I was messing around to see if they made any difference dis-connected on the street.... well the first fast curvey on-ramp to the hi-way scared me almost as bad as some hairey times on the trail. Got some serious unexpected body roll.
I considered making them till I saw how cheap they were.
good luck
