this is for those of you that have your jeeps for offroad only. what have you done to the dash and do you pics? i want to see them.

i have been thinking about cutting into mine at the passenger side to put my battery on the firewall to save room in the engine bay.

It wasn't too hard to make. The first one was way off but made for a good reference. I think it was just 16ga mild steel.

Been to busy working on the mechanical stuff to worry about the dash
Custom dash thread on pirate, be sure to cover your key board there is some real nice engineering in some of them

49 HARD miles ;) Really it's just the new gauges. Those 49 miles were put on towing it around to the exhaust setup on it and getting it smogged.

some of those are just sick, mine will never look as good as some of those. i always go for function over form. its gonna get covered in mud anyway.

I got lots of cool tools. I am still working on my skills. You got skills the tools help you bring out your skills.

How can I train my tools to do what you can :eek:.

I dont want to derail his thread but... Buy good used cool tools. They have been trained to avoid the mistakes that new shinny tools make. Also I make allot of my own tools such as the English wheels, Hydraulic press brakes, etc. When you build your own tools you know exactly where the breaking point is so you can push them right to the limit without them giving excuses on why they dont work correctly. Those new tools are always blaming my lack of skills while the old hand built tools know not to try to fool the creator!. :D :rolleyes:
