Did DC ever offer either on the later GWs? I want auto-on headlights like my old Taurus LX had. Anybody ever done this?
(woops, misspelled headlights)

Hmmm...they are manditory in Canada starting late in the 1989 model year I believe. So find a 89-91 and it should have the module -- but I may be wrong.
Anyone got a FSM for 89-91s and want to check out the Day Time Running Light module in the circuit diagram?

I think you can get an aftermarket kit from JC Whitney.

i am going to look into wiring the fog lights into the ignition circuit, using the oem relay. they need to cut off with the brights to be legal. right now i have the fogs set up stock, wired into the low-beam circuit. and a set of hella driving lights wired into the brights. ok, so its not legal. but i get lots of light when i need it, and instant dimming without finding some switch on the dash.

Thanks.
SpruceMoose: Use relays and you shouldn't have any problems. 15 or so years ago, I had a Nissan 720 4wd pickup. Had fog lights wired into the low beams using a relay, and driving lights wired both to the ignition and to the high beams using a relay. I used an on-off-on toggle switch. I don't remember the exact way I wired it, but I think the relay had 2 posts in and 2 posts out plus a hot and ground.
Had them wired this way because I would leave from Lake Lure, NC at 2AM, catch a couple hours sleep and have to be at work in Rock Hill, SC at 8AM Running 60-70MPH on 2 lane hwys in the dark isn't wise (animals) unless you can really light up the road, and I COULD!

yeah, the oem setup for the fogs uses a relay tied into the low-beam circuit. i figure i can tie it into the ignition circuit instead, but i will still need it to go out when i hit the brights. 6 lights on the front might draw a little too much attention ;)
