Hello:
Okay, this is what I'm thinking for my 1980 J10, 360. I'd like to run dual exhaust, 3 inch, with fender exits, using orginal manifolds. No cat, probably two flowmasters. Nice low rumble sound, not too obnoxious, would be good.
How much should I pay? Muffler shops a dime a dozen in south Texas....
Thanks

I remember $365 for custom single 3" exhaust for my diesel. One Flowmaster, no cat.
Good luck, post up details when you get it done!

I went with a custom y-pipe as well. From the cat back was around $400, I supplied the muffler. Keep in mind that these are mandrel bends, not crush-bends that reduce the actual size of the tubing. The y-pipe was a bit more than the cat-back part.

Will it be harder and cost more for the muffler shop to connect to manifolds or headers? I really want to keep my manifolds for now....

I don't see why it would be harder or costlier either way.
FWIW, I eliminated the heat riser on my system.
Around here it's about $350-$400 for duals on a truck(easy routing) with cheapo glasspaks. If you want special mufflers and cats price goes up.
