Hey Folks,
I'm hoping someone can help me out there! I ever so carefully took out my instrument cluster from my '84 gw to diagnose the age-old favorite fuel sending unit problem paying careful attention, and labeling wires appropriately, to where everything went. When I pulled out a 4-pin connector, just above the yellow and red ammeter wires, everything was in tack. A while later I noticed that the two wires (1 purple, 1 black) going into the 4-pin came out of the connector and I'm not sure which of the 4 slots they go into. One slot has an empty wire connector/thingy so I basically have 3 empty holes for the purple and the black wire. I can just experiment trying different combinations, but not being an electrical genius I didn't know if I could short out something or everything. Any help or guidance is very much appreciated.
