What is the best brand and location to purchase a rebuild kit for the 2bl motorcraft carb? does it include the power valve?(the part that you can blow with a backfire)

I know Autozone has the kit for around $25 and it does come with the power valve.

I and several others have used and liked the quality of the NAPA kit. Costs a bit more than the Autozone one, but still...

I have an unopened GP-Sorensen kit from Autozone I can send your way for a reasonable fee. Was thinking I'd rebuild my 2150 and compare the mileage with my currently mounted 4bbl but then I got lazy.

I uesd the standard hygrade - not sure what the cost would be in the USA but its from America . The exploded view thats posted up in the thread is missing a vital component. The base plate / spacer gasket that goes under the big spacer gasket shown. You would need to order this seperatley before doing your build. I took mine apart and rebuilt last weekend & the plastic part had a bad crack right through it. I recon this was the cause of bad idle/ stumbles and lack of power. It also robbed vacuum from the brakes that work MUCH better now its replaced. The Standard Hygrade kit had that part supplied - but made of tough woven material. I used black gasket sealer on the 2 x baseplates to ensure no vac leaks. It also has a choice of accelerator pump rod lengths.:thumbsup:
