Anyone have any experience/recomendations on purchasing/installing an aftermarket floor shifter. B&M, Hurst etc. Is it a major PITA?

In the process of renovating my rig, looking for custom ideas that don't cost big bucks.

Thanks :D

I put in a Daytona floor shifter. It was cheap, easy to install and works great for my needs.

B&M Z-Gate is a good one, too. Inexpensive, not too hard to install, has an available kits for neutral start, and back up lights, and you can bang it as hard as you like, and not miss a shift.

Low buck solution would be get one from an Eagle in your local wrecking yard.

I can tell you from experiance the Z-Gate is awesome. I have one in my CJ-7, and yes you can slam those gears :D . It is pretty simple and the backup light and neutral safty switch stuff comes with the shifter.
