Starter part #?

I've searched and searched to no avail. People talk about long and short nose ford starters, but how do I know I'm ordering the long nose. By default, autozone gets the short, and I've been through 3 and 2 flexplates. My jeep is a 77 wag 360 th400, does anyone have the right part #?

Sorry, no part numbers here,,I have never heard about the short/long nose bit before. I did learn a long time ago that on items that are rebuilt regularly,,starters. alternators, that checker and autozone don't get my business..Napa all the way. Other stuff okay, not major electricals. Might want to hand carry your starter into a napa and compare.

Why are you looking for a Ford starter and not an AMC starter?

if your going to get it form NAPA you can use part #444900 for the premium starter or part #2444900 for the standard starter. only difference between those 2 is 3 year warranty versus lifetime warranty. also listed is a ford type part #76066. hope this helps you out.
