left front axle bearing seal for 88 d-44

my intermittent growl turned out to be the axle bearing. where can i call and order a seal for the left front axle bearing? and have it for next weekend? last time i did the job, i hadda drive 25miles to pick it up. i dont have that kinda time to waste. im gonna see if i can hook the bearing journal out of my 83. ill bet it has less than 50k miles on it and will out last my 131kmile 88 wag. ill do the u-joint. i replaced the right front a year ago.

Just call a parts store and ask for a wheel bearing seal. A quick check here in MIDDLE OF NOWHERE WY had 4 out 4 of parts stores had them in stock. BTW did you check the spindle bearing while you have it apart?

apart? not yet.there is no up/down play though. i checked for that 1st. ill repack the spindle bearings on my way thru. im just hoping the axle journal isnt too rough. i will check the local guys. i think last time i did the job the 83 was my wife's driver and i was down to 1 car. i ended up spending a pm rounding up the parts. the 88 can sit til i gather parts. its just the napa guy is not as sharp as he used to be and i keep waiting for the crew @autozone to ask me if i want fries with that air filter :D the other indy parts guys can prolly order me stuff too.
