I think the carrier bearing cap bolts(4 of them) are 135lbs and the axle shaft bolts are 125lbs. Sound right? And what avout the round nut inside the hub that takes the special socket. How much should I torque it up to the bearings? Thanks, Dennis

That's Randy's ring and pinion home page. There's a ring and pinion install page on there that has all the spec's for most axles...

without looking at the randys page, not sure what actual torque specs are. i tightened both the bearing caps and axleshaft bolts with my impact, and that seems to work fine.its a cheapie impact, nowhere near strong enuff to overtorque them or break the bolts.
for the wheel bearings, i did them just like the front. tighten the nut to 50 ft/lb while spinning to seat, back off 1/4 turn. tighten as needed to get the keyway back in. install the little clippy thing smile.gif
ill hafta chack out that spec page...
