Drag Link question

I swapped some tires recently and I'm getting a floating feeling. I knew my tie rod n TREs were tired and in need of replacing so I'm looking at options now. It looks like it may cost bout the same to make my own draglink as it would to buy new stock links. I'm thinking tres, bungs and DOM... not exactly sure which TREs but I have an idea... So any ideas? Will the stock tie rod be just as good>?

Here's a pic of what I'm working with. SOA chevy rear springs up front with crossover and custom bent drag link.

Get some DOM tubing and 1 ton TREs because if you break/wear one out, they can be gotten anywhere and are not that much $$$.
