Just thought I'd mention a few FSJ sightings recently around the Wilmington, NC area over the last couple weeks to see if any are forum members.
1)Saw an older J10 or 20, gold in color, in fair shape at the intersection of Blue Clay Rd. and No. College Rd. I didn't get a good look at the driver, but the rig sounded fine.
2)I met a real nice FSJ enthusiast at the Handee Hugo Station at Wrightsboro. He and his teen aged son were in a nicely lifted GW, with a full roof length cargo/safari rack on top, custom front winch/brush guard, and a generally red color that had a couple primer spots. It was getting ready to be painted before too long. The engine bay was clean, with a pair of Optimus batts, a Holley 4bbl sitting on top of a bunch of pretty Edelbrock stuff, and I was envious of the rig. He also had a custom trailer hooked up that was pretty slick. We had a nice chat, and introductions, but sadly I forgot to write down his name, and I've now forgotten it. I hope to see the guy around town again.
3)The wife followed a White GW down Dawson st. this morning, and it had a Jerry Garcia sticker on the back, similar to mine. The kids thought it was my GW. She said it looked pretty clean.
4) Another sighting by my wife this afternoon in Magnolia Greens. A late-model navy blue GW that she said looked immaculate when she passed by it, and said she wanted mine to be that pretty.
I think the weather's been great lately and the FSJs are getting ready for Summer.
