If I swap a 208 into my 88 in place of the 229, will my driveshafts work? I just had them retubed and really dont feel like doing it again to have new yokes installed. what u joints do the 208s use?

cmonnnn...I need to know!
The front is the correct length.
The rear will need to be lengthened. Many say "about 5 inches", but you should check the running length installed on your vehicle and let the driveshaft shop determine the length. Your current shaft might not be correct.

The PO disconnected the nut holding the slip joint together and left the NP229 rear shaft in. It had about 1" of shaft left in the joint when sitting parked. I didn't catch it until after I drove it 30 miles home from the PO's house.
