Just thought I'd share...kind of a one-year anniversary of project completion deal.
I took a trip in the diesel Wagoneer (http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=82155&page=1) from Redding, CA to San Jose this weekend. It was a beautiful weekend, temps in the 70s. With the 2.73:1 gears and 700R4 trans it lopes along happily at 72mph.
One thing I noticed: I get a lot more respect from the Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, Infiniti etc. drivers when I'm in the Wagoneer than when I'm in the Jetta! :rolleyes:
557.7 miles, 26.3 gallons (at $3.15 or better! :eek: ) = 21.2mpg.
