The measurement for the input shaft on a T-18 mounted to a 258? It's on a 79 J-10 truck.

The 258 should have a input shaft that is 1" shorter then a V8 models...if it goes according to the spacer length. As the 258 T18a has a shorter spacer then the V8 model.

So am I correct in sayin that mine should be the 6.5" instead of the 7.25"?
