Sweet weekend score.

So this past weekend i think i did my self pretty good. My girlfriend and I went down to Columbus this past weekend for a comedy show(Gabriel Igesias) on friday night and we planned to stay most of the day saturday and then drive home. Well about the middle of this past week a trucker come into my work and brings up that he has some old jeep stuff that he is trying to sell and asked if i knew anyone that might be interested. I asked were he was located and he just happened to be located in Grove City which is about 15min south of were we were staying in Columbus. So i get his info thinkin that ill go check it out and it will be nothing but usless junk that i cant use or sell and ill be done with it.

Friday comes we head down in the truck and get to the hotel and the guy calls me asking if i am still coming i said yes and he told me what times he would be there and blah blah blah. We go to our show laugh harder then we ever have. And back to the hotel.

Saturday morning comes we get up and head out to check out these parts. We pull up to this tiny little house with a decent size barn and get out and the guy come and greets us.

He takes to the barn and shows me what all he has got... ill let the pics take it from here..

Above are all the parts that i purchased from the guy. He was very nice and had a lot of cool stories about wheelin his very clean cj-7

He even has a 51 willys that he calls "Clampet" its got a 4cly and it runs like a top. he told me he picked it up for 300 bux :eek:

Micheal Weier. He was really cool. He had a 6ft gator (not kidding) and a 90lb tortus (not kidding either)

the trans are all 3spds. But he said everything had to go. so i figured why not. They all came over of driving trucks/cjs and are all dana 20s so i was not to upset. The motor was rebuilt about 1000 miles ago. said he was in high rpm in his cjs when it started to smoke really bad. he said bent valve? i think its just a head gasket. But its got bigger pistons, little head work, and a low rpm cam. got a bunch of hard to find cj interior parts as well. Need to go through everything and see whats all in there and what not again.

Amazing who all I've met too..from all over the USA.
You got yourself a really good find, I may have to come buy parts from you since I sold the bulk of my stuff..

most if it will be up for sale here soon i hope. I dont have a lot of time. Im trying to get my jeep done for jambo. school and 50hrs+ a week at work kill me!.... :banghead: :banghead: and im only 20...

oh well once the jeep is done it will be worth it :drivin:

Yes it was lucky but i dont know about the space part. stuff still in the bed fo the dodge cause i have not found a place to put it all yet...
