My heater fan switch over the last couple of days has started giving me:

1.OFF
2.ALMOST HIGH (just under high--medium?)
3.HIGH
4.HIGH

(instead of the obvious OFF, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH)

Would this be the switch or the motor? My OFF/HEAT/DEFROST controls are also hard to push right at the end of their travel. Also, could this be related in any way to me losing my oil, temp, and gas gauges? Maybe some cleaning up is due behind the cluster?

There is a speed control thingy in the heater box on the fire wall. Wire from it to blower motor. That is usually the problem. The blower motor works at high speed so I doubt it is bad. The buttons being hard to push will not have anything to do with the heater speed. It is a Vac switch like the one I have pictured. I have pointed a spot that I usually Lube with 3 in 1 oil to cure hard to push heater control buttons. ;) ;)
