Well I have tried just just about everything I can think of to fix my tired old 360. I have come to the resolution maybe it dosent wanna be fixed like it just wants to die. Well I know tons of people have done the 4.0 swap can you bolt a 4.0 to a turbo 400 with the amc bell housing? Has any one done this specific swap instead of the 258 swap thats more common? I could have the 360 rebuilt but im nervous about that from all the horror stories I have heard on here people dont know how to rebuild amc's like the use too. Or I could just sell it and get a new rig. And the crap just thickens im deploying in june. So those are my options your comments are welcome.

New (to you) 360? They are cheap and it would be about the easiest swap you could do. Whats wrong with your current one BTW?

Dont know cant seem to get timing right I pulled cover off to verify it is correct and it is still same crap. I have a thread on here and have tried everyones ideas with no luck. Last thing is a compression test and im going to do that tomorrow that should seal the deal as far as this engine.

X2 I agree with duncanstives It might be cheaper and easier to just get a good running 360 from a member here.
