I agree. Ideas? I wouldn't mind at all heading down your direction. Maybe something on the north side of the Catalina's.
I did Sunflower mine in the J-truck this last weekend. Truck did real well, but I cut another sidewall

The wild flowers were a bust last year (at least when I went looking for them). But I would like to go wheel'n!
Trucks getting the dents fixed and then I am getting a roll cage of some sort. And some off road bumpers (either custom or BJ's)

We could do that I'm sure, rstep and I have been talking about doing something, it's been quite a bit since folks came south.

Mike, you're the only person I know that builds a kick butt SOA rig and then gets the body fixed.

I would like to do a 3rd annual run up here around moms-day again.
Should be right around the same time the heat starts settin in down there...;)
Jeff,
I'm up for another run up that way around mother's day.
I'd like to camp someplace different this time.
That wannabe ranger/camp site dude was a jerk.
Bob,
Let's get together this weekend.
Figure out a place/places to scout, maybe we can do it before the welding contest and then set a date for late Feb.

Depending on how far you guys are willing to drive may I suggest Van Darren cabin trail, also known as Vultee arch in Sedona. It is not very hard, just enough to be fun and the scenery is beautiful. The most chalenging part is at the end as manuvering room is tight. Rock stacking may be neccesary for stock rigs. Don't go during rainy season as the trail goes through a canyon and flash floods are common. There is a narrow part and my wagoneer fit with only inches to spare on either side. This trail is a good articulation test. Also you might want to look into Soldier pass, again in Sedona. My avitar shows me on van darren.

Soldier pass, that's the one I was trying to think of. It's a fun short trail.

Sounds like we may need to plan one or both of these runs for moms day weekend.

I have to get out before then.
I've got some well pump repairs to make in Silver, wont be this weekend so I'm shooting for the 19-20th to replace some piping. That will make Silver available for a Rodeo 24-27th trip.
Where's Soldier Pass located?

Sedona. It's really short though. Good thing about Sedona is you can hit 3-4 trails in a day. Bad thing is that it's another couple hour drive for you southerners.
Sedona...
Ah, yea that's a long trip for a short trail.
I'd still consider it if we are going to do an overnight thing, I've really only seen the Sedona area by car or by bar.
Way too far for me to drive 5-6 hours, wheel all day and then come home.

You should just start a new thread Jeff and let this one from last year die so as not to confuse anyone. I would lead up the effort but I might be in China by May.
