Been running it in my '04 GC for over 100k with no problems. Which reminds me I need to place an order with Amsoil for more.
GM uses it in all theit trucks and has since around 2000 or so.

What weight? I have a friend that does that but I haven't bothered to ask him. He has an 83 Cherokee

I've had it in the axles of my XJ for about 4 years now with no issues there either, but I wasn't sure if the seals of these older axle models responded differently.
A difference seems unlikely I guess, but thought I'd ask.

I have been running Royal Purple in my axles since 2003. It lubes so well, when the rear bearing let the LR axle fly last year, I never heard it growling.

I use Mobil-1 in my FSJ, performs beautifully and has zero leaks. Been running synthetic since 2003 or earlier.

Unless he changed it, Lyndel is running Valvoline 85-140 full synth with friction modifier for the LSD in the rear of the '87.

For about 6 years & 25,000 miles I've had Redline 75w90 in the front D44, and 80w140 in the rear AMC 23 (heavier stuff back there because of towing) -- limited slips in both diffs. Redline D4 ATF in the NP 208, and Redline 75w90NS (no limited slip modifier) in the T-18. Mobil-1 5w20 or 0w20 in the 360.
I've used Redline gear lubes in different vehicles for several hundred thousand miles, and have had good service with them -- stuff lasts practically forever.
