I was wondering if anyone ran a SOA and a 4inch suspension lift. I just want to see what it would look like, I'd like to try it but I'm not sure if its going to be to high for a lot of the trails i go on. If anyone has in pics that would be great. thanks.

well River Beast USED to have SOA, 4inch spring lift and a 3 inch body.. now he only has a SOA and body... so you can check out his site and compare it to the picture he posted here the other day. Here is the picture of his rig now http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=007659, and here is his website... http://home.earthlink.net/~riverbeast
good luck!

I can't get the link to work that you posted, how else can i get to the picture? thanks again.
are you going for looks or function? 4" plus SOA is just a lot of lift, and it will make your rig tipsy. I think that's why RB is going back to stock springs.
if you want function, get out the sawzall and run SOA, that's my $.02

I'm going for function, i already have a 4" superlift and 35s, and they don't really rub at all, so i was thinking of either going back to stock springs or goign with a rustys 6". Thats what i was afraid of with a SOA, most of the trails i go on, are going to be really hairy with to much lift.

You can keep the lift that you have and go full width axles also. I have the rusty's 6in lift and wt axles with 37 SSR's under my waggy. The extra width of the axle is fantastic.

No he doesnt have a SOA, he justed trimmed his fenders. WT's have much larger fender openings and shouldent need to be trimmed. blt2crl cut his because NT wags and chero's have much smaller fender openings that inhibit flex with big tires.

I am gonna try the 4 inch springs W/SOA on a 14 bolt/D-60 combo with large wide tires and more chopping. The rig will see mostly mud W/some mild trails and rocks. It *should* work and not be too awful tippy for my uses. I figure the width of the axles and tires should keep me right side up as long as I keep in mind my limitations and the limitations of the rig.

what is the easiest axel swap for a 80s cherokee with driveside drop? With a 6" rustys do you think i'd be able to run 36" or 37" tires with no problem, my 35"s don't really rub at all with my 4" susp lift.

If you are going to beat on your rig pretty hard you may want to look into a 14 bolt/D-60/NP 205 combo out of a junk truck. When you get over 35's on Dana 44's they will break, it is just a matter of time. Just ask Riverbeast! :D What you decide on will be a matter of personal preference, fabrication skills, cash, and availibilty of parts. smile.gif

Robber80, I was just showing you what a 6in rusty's lift springs setup in the sua configuration looked like. You were debating wether to go Soa and 4in lift springs or 6in Rusty's. I didn't just trim my fenders. I cut the hell out of them. You will have to trim your as well not as much but you will still need to trim. If you go with full width axle you will have to cut your fender even more. Full width will be 4in wider than you WT axles.

I think what i'm goign to do is, just got the 6" and then i'll decided on axles when something breaks smile.gif I really like the look of your jeep, it looks like its low and wide at the same time, but its also high of the ground. Thats like the perfect setup for me, thanks for showing the pics!
