I found some carpet poking through the floor boards just outside the frame rails yesterday. I was wondering what thickness of steel I should use to replace it?

Well I used an old hood to replace mine :D . This is a very well covered topic. Check out the archives. I believe some use 16 guage if I can remember.

Here is a good one. Just look under the body section in the archives.

Most anything works, like PC I save old sheetmetal and use it for patches also.

The sad truth is I have tons of 1/4, 1/8 and then just real thin sheet laying around. Sounds like a reason to hit the steel distributor smile.gif . I found that the same spot was already replaced on the passenger side. They riveted it and put 2 tons of caulk everywhere. I may end up redoing that side also. Thanks for the info guys.
