I just became the proud owner of 2 fsjs. A 1983 cherokee widetrack, and a 1984 grand wagoneer. Both have the straight 6. I got a really good deal. . . FREE!!!! They have both been sitting for about 5-6 years.

So here's the question. . . I am going to build the '83 into a trail rig/rock crawler. I was thinking about using the 84 as a parts truck but wondering if and what parts are interchangable? Any help and advice would be great :D

A lot of the parts are interchangeable. Which ones did you want to swap?
it might be easier to answer it that way.

And I must say welcome from California.

I must warn you that we like our pictures so you might want to make plans to post those soon be fore you get attacked.

Welcome from Colorado. Photobucket is what a lot of us use for pics, works well and is easy to use.

Sorry these are the only pics I have so far. . .this is the 83

As far as the tow rig saggin. The trailer I used wasn't quite long enough to get the tongue weight just right. Its a 16 ft, I borrowed an 18 ft for the second one and it rode perfect.

Both have the straight 6.You are my new friend!

Also, I would fix up the Wagoneer when you have the chance. every last one on the road and not in the scrap yard counts

The fenders are different. The Chero is a Wide Track and the fenders have flares. The Wag is a Narrow Track and the fenders don't have flares. Other than that all the other parts are interchangeable. WT fenders shouldn't be to hard find.

2 for Free is always a good deal!

Nice score, and the price was right! I use my wagons' rear doors all the time, would hate to have to squirrel around the seats or work through the tail gate all the time. Two doors look great, but four is more practical. So do the right thing, fix them both. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...
