i FIANALLY got all my spring stuff..i have some questions about the springs cuz i think they are wrong...
how many leaves do the front springs have?
how many leaves do the rears have?...
do the rears have a helper spring and shim?
are they VERY LONG?
Were the '74's springs shorter in the rear or longer than l8er models?
i know i have to modify the rears to fit my '74 but i thought thought the 74 were longer than the l8er models? thanks for help
74 rear springs are shorter than 76+

LOL Another one bites the Dust. Send them back. NO ONE makes springs for the pre 76 FSJ models. They say they do but do not. I will assure you they will not fit. typically everyone advertises 75 to 91 however it should be 76 to 91. You have post style spring hangers on your 74, the lifts are designed for the box style mount used 76 and up. Sorry for your bad luck on this.

Strange Rusty still sells them to customers with pre 76 rigs. They have been informed of this problem!!

On the 74 I can not recall. 5 in the rear 7 in the front maybe? Hmmmm I see you bought them knowing they were not a direct swap in. Well I think it will be a chore to get them in. I would have had a spring shop make a set of springs for you, as RustyJeep had done $115.00 per spring.

Here is a Link to the topic with RustyJeep mentioning the springs. Click on his Home Page Icon and then check out the front spring install section. He mentions the name of the spring shop that built them for him. I had the phone # as he had posted it but I can not find it. Send Ben (RustyJeep) an email. He will be happy to help you out.

Ya I ran into this problem some time ago. The front springs will work perfectly fine...the rear springs wont work at all.
I have told Rusty about this already...I fail to see why he is still selling them to people with 75 and older rigs....as they wont work.
If I knew you where gona buy this setup I would have warned you earlier.
