hello again. I have a problem. i ordered a custom spring pack from Standen's in calgary it was to be 4"above stock plus 1 leaf. igot the springs they looked great so i preped to install .the thing is they took oem springs and arced them 4" leaving the over all length the same so they don't fit.i could use some numbers from you guy's if any of you by chance or other wise took messurements before you installed your kits, any kits it doesn't matter i am looking at 4". i need eye to eye along the curve front and back, i need hanger eye to diff centering pin front and back as well as arc in "'s from top of pack or bottom.
and any other you think i may need as they are going to do them again but i trust all of you.and i dont trust those bast@rds i have searched the net for numbers and have come up empty please help
thanx Ryan
rigger-
I have total simpathy for you. I had my front springs rearched with a new secondary main spring added. I can't really blame the spring shop because when they asked how much lift I wanted I said "max it out".
To answer your question about the spring length, I don't know if you need an exact number. Just take a look at a decent sitting wagon on reasonable springs. The shackle eye is normally straight down and slightly foward with weight on the springs. That's your number there, whatever that distance is. The thread below was my most recent booboo.

A lot of great thought were posted to my reply and hopefully you'll get the right help too. I'm going to try playing with a dual shackle setup in front, kind of like a revolver, minus the revolving. It may not work. One decision I have made is I am not moving any spring eye mounts. If all else fails I'm just going to have new main springs made the correct length (means paying for new bushings again) and swap out the overarched ones.
Good luck Ryan, hope it's not your daily driver.
