Okay, the title of my post is really just to make my dad and hubby giggle. They're on here more than me, cause they're the motor heads. I'm just the lucky girl who drives the Jeep :) Hubby's name here is PCDAD and Dad's name is Bill32 or Billscobra32 (I think.)

We had "big doings" here last night. A lady at church got robbed and beat up after service. Dad and hubby jumped in to help out. Hubby and Dad got mentioned in the paper and on the news

But, the reason I titled my post this way?......Wait for it! Click the first link and watch the video. At about 2 minutes 15 seconds, you'll see it. The news man talked to me, too. And, somehow I was "clever enough" to end up in a good spot. You can kinda see the "prized possessions of the family fleet". I'm leaning on the Jeep and Dad's kit-car Cobra is behind me.

Okay, so let's see if they find this thread on their own to have a laugh......

Oops. ....I think I put my message in the wrong forum area. I think this is the place you all talk shop in, instead of just talking. Sorry. I just recognized the name of it, cause I've seen it on the screen before when the guys have left the window open.

I'll try and make sure I put my messages in the right place next time. I don't know how to move this message to the right area....I'm no motor head. But, I guess you can tell I'm not so hot with the computer either, huh :)

I'll just excuse myself and stick to cruisin' my waggy!!!!:fsj: :fsj: :fsj:

No biggie on the wrong area, I moved it for ya from tech to General Discussion.

Good work by the family. I am glad to see folks are willing to step in and do the right thing.

Thanks for changing where my post was:p I figured someone probably could do that for me.....

Thursday night was kinda a big night for us. Since the dust is settling on it, I figured I'd try and give the guys a little smile and show them I hadn't missed "the important stuff"....you know, like the fact that their "babies" got a little air time on the local news....hehehehe....

Afterall, taking the wind outta the sails of some bad guys in town is pretty big stuff. But, getting your "pride and joy" vehicles on TV for all to see, is well....???? I guess I'll have to defer to the guys on which one was the bigger deal :)
Even if you can't totally see them.

My husband was laughing at me earlier. Cause when he took off chasing the guys, I threw the jeep into gear and tore off down the alleys trying to stay close to where they were running. (I was worried he would get caught somewhere alone by the thugs). He said he could hear the roar of the Jeep behind him and when I tore around the blocks trying to catch up as the guy ducked in between buildings. I told Hubby he shoulda see our kids. They were in the Jeep with me. Momma just yelled for 'em to hold on. I guess it's possible to do a little off roading "in town", cause I whomped the Jeep over every curb and sidewalk, etc in my way. I hit something along the way so hard, that my dad had to rewire my headlights tonight, cause I shorted them out. They work again, and my waggy handled just fine for all of it except one part when I stalled it after I hit the brakes. I don't think I hit anything??? But, then again, "the Colonel's" pretty tough. I'd probably have to go back and look for damage on the street, cause he don't have any marks on him! :)

Glad to hear that your husband is safe. I hope your fellow parishioner is feeling better, too.

And great job getting the Wag on TV!!!

Sounds like your carb could use a tune up if it's stalling out on you like that. (You don't want the bad guys to get away next time.)

That is an awesome story. We're all gathered for the weekend and everyone gathered around the computer to watch the video...

about 20 of us did a hip hip hooray for your dad and husband!

and, several have pulled their cellphones and said, "you don't want any of this." to which every one laughs and says, "Nice try Travis."

Glad it all worked out and hope the woman is okay.

Super job. High 5's to your Hubby and Dad. Wish they would have zoomed out a little so we could have seen more of the Jeep.

Ok, my wife had to tell me she posted this thread. I've been a little side tracked to get on the forum the past couple days. Thanks to all for your replies.

Great story

Reminds me of the 67 old man on the bus, that beat up the thug.
That wouldn't leave him alone.

 I checked up on Mrs. Morrow last night and she is doing fine. She is in good spirits, but still a little shaken. We have changed how we leave evening services at church now. Every one gets an escort to their car now and we all park together.
So far the passengers are not being charged, but they are going to testify against the driver (which sucks because they knew what was going on). Main bad guy facing $102,000.00 cash only bond, going away for a long time we hope.
Last but not least, my wife in her hopes to embarrass me even more has made me change her ringtone to I Need a Hero from Flash Dance:eek: .
