I've searched both "manual steering" and "power steering" and came up with nada.
Just throwing the question out there to see if any of you guys have done the conversion.
Manual steering is gonna bite with 39's.
Thanks for any advice.

Don't know what truck you're converting, but the boxes in the later model (post '72) with Saginaw boxes have the same bolt pattern whether manual or power, so the box is a bolt-in. Then, you'd need the P/S pump and brackets for the engine, and the right style lines for the year steering box you are using. Somewhere in the late 70's they converted from flared lines to straight lines with o-ring seals. I would recommend the o-ring style. They seem less prone to leakage.
I actually swapped in a box from a S-10 Blazer, which was a direct bolt-in, and has tight, variable ratio internals. It only has 3 of the 4 mounting tabs the Jeep boxes do, though. Alas, it was cheap though, and has been great with 33's.
Did my 70 j-3000 a couple years ago. I needed pump and hoses, engine p/s pump mount, engine pully with groove for p/s belt, steering box and pitman arm. After I found all the parts it was a no brainer bolt up swop.

I think the main thing to say is that there is no custom fabrication, and it's all off the shelf parts.

Thanks for the replies.
This conversion would be for the '66 J3000. Looks pretty staight forward.
One problem that I see is that the orig. steering box? is mounted inline with the frame. This is unlike my '79 and '74 that have the power steering boxes offset inline with the steering shaft. Maybe I'll have to use spacers or something to line it up.
Thanks.
