I don't think it's any sort of concept, just one of the special OEM projects. WAY COOL though, I think they got it 99% right on.
Looks cool. Wonder what they use for power? Gas or diesel?

That is WAY COOL! Like someone said in the blog MOPAR/Jeep keeps teasing us with Gladiator-like trucks. It shows the potential of a Jeep pick-up truck.

If Cappa can be trusted... ;) it's a diesel, but not a massive one.

I loves it :D - First sticker is AEV on the hood; makes me think they'll be offering this "kit" for the JK Wrangler.
They did chop the top though, so it makes the hood look longer; i doubt that part would make production, cause only people my size would fit. lol
Seems they have been paying attention to the photoshops I have showed for like a year.. :D

I already have two of them. I park them under the wings of the Lear jet.

I bet we see an fsj-esq production vehicle within 5 or 6 years. They make the rubicon and get a positive reaction and great sales plus these FSJ based mopar underground projects have people really excited. Since the company has to approve each mopar underground project and when you factor in projects like the J8 it seems almost like they are testing the waters for a jeep truck or other awesome type thing.

Well, the company AEV makes the J8 in 'kit-car' form for the US, with either the diesel or 6.1L -- My guess is, this could be a JK "brute" conversion, like they have done with the older model wranglers. I think the front-end conversion would be a serious seller though, if they don't over-price it to hell (like Mopar often does, unfortunately). People have wanted a Jeep pick-up from the factory again for.. how long? and they've constantly been teasing, so I don't know if they'll ever actually build one..

I like it - maybe it's being floated for military use like the j-8. It would be a big seller either way I am sure.

It looks like a CJ10 ,or a Brute with a nicer looking grill, (The origional CJ10 had a butt fugly front end)

the bed looks like an old dodge m37 powerwagon (aka the only good dodge) but the front looks awesome. i would love to have this just get the tire out of the bed.

JMO - if Chryco every produces something like this, it will have to be positioned in the market so that it does not compete with the Dodge truck products. GM's history of too many brands under one roof will prevent any repeat of such duplication, at least for the near future.
However, I really like it.

Dakota is going away, that would leave an opening for a small Jeep truck.

I'd buy it :thumbsup:I would go to the dealer and drool on it at least. ;) I am not holding my breath regardless of the projections other may have about new FSJ like Jeeps for the future.

even though it would be great to have a new one, I am sure the mechanicals will be much more complicated and difficult to work on. I already think my 77 is difficult enough, thank you very much.
I prefer older cars for that reason but this is nice.
The j-8 is supposed to have dana - 60s and be a 3/4 ton truck frame so it would be a robust jeep.
