Transfer case problems

So I finally got the J10 up to the house to do some work on it and discovered that it does not enjoy going into 4 wheel low. No matter how much I fight with it, it just will not move. It is a D20 transfer case. Any suggestions?

Check your linkage, also there is a grease fitting on the bottom of the shifter. I had luck back it up about 5 M.P.H and take it out of gear and try to shift it then. Always worked for me.
