A little something I have been trying to do is get rid of that poorly designed fuel filter-slash-fuel return-slash-fire hazard-slash-whatever.
It took me about $100 bucks, but I did it, courtesy of Summit Racing..

I have a nice big filter between the tank and the electric fuel pump.
That is a Mr. Gasket fuel pressure gauge. It is a piece of crap. You can push on it and get a different reading. I am thinking of replacing it with a pressure test port since i have a real test gauge for it.
the copper line coming in is a temp. I still have some work to do down low, but I am very pleased so far, and so is the Edelbrock carb.

part numbers? I haven't replaced mine in err..couple years and starting to think it may be part of my bogging problem (Edel 1406).

Sorry Gambler, I missed this.
That is a Holley 12-803BP (bypass) fuel regulator. I am still looking for a solution to the crappy fuel gauge. (I'm just not looking very hard.)

try Speedway. They don't sell crap.

for 70 bux, you'd have a nice gauge run to your dash to monitor it from behind the wheel :)

I've got about $100 in the regulator, the fuel pressure tee, some fittings, and IIRC thats about 32" of steel line running around the firewall. Its bent around so that it stops about 8" from the carb inlet on the 1406. 1406's have the carb inlet on the right rear.

Sorry to hijack, but you've done some of what I'm looking to do. Did you have to modify your stock fuel tank to use the electric pump (I'm assuming you're using an external pump)? Is there any way you could snap some pics of how you set it up?
Also, do you know where to get the original style return/filters? My pumps are only running a max 7 psi so I figured I'd run the stock filter/return setups just after the pumps under the vehicle (I'm running dual pumps for dual tanks). That way I have a dedicated return for each tank instead of having a single return pump into one tank so I don't run the risk of overflowing a full tank.

Either way, your install looks really good!

You have rubber between the hard line and the carburetor, right?

I have a holley red fuel pump mounted to the outside of the frame rail. I don't have a pic handy. I am looking to move it inside the frame rail. Its kind of vulnerable where it is. I am currently running an aux fuel tank, but it should not be a problem with the stock set up. I was getting AMC style fuel filters from O'reillys.
