yessssss i have found the source of the water
in both front doors there are rusted through
holes small but i have tried webbing and bondo but in this new york weather it is not drying does anyone know of a product that will set up faster and hold out the water?

2nd ? i must now deal with the surface rust under the wet carpet has anyone taken out carpet and put it back in and have it look good? iam selling this 87 gw so i want to fix this before i do i am putting a new engine in my 86 which has been off the road since oct 99

Worst-case scenario: you'll have to replace the jute, if it's all bunched up and crappy-smelling. The carpet itself should be fine, and the jute just glues in. I would rent a good carpet steamer, pull the carpet, steam-clean it and leave it in the sun to dry (assuming you're getting some daylight).

As far as the Bondo goes, could you use a hairdryer to kinda 'help' it along?
